PSICOPATÍA: ANÁLISIS CRIMINOLÓGICO DEL COMPORTAMIENTO VIOLENTO ASOCIADO Y ESTRATEGIAS PARA EL INTERROGATORIO

Resumen

El concepto de psicopatía, a pesar de sus controversias en el contexto clínico, ha resultado de enorme interés en el ámbito de la psicopatología criminal y forense al mostrarse, tras la evidencia científica acumulada, como un factor predictor de primera magnitud de la conducta transgresora de la normativa social y legal.

La alta tasa de reincidencia delictiva y la posibilidad que la personalidad psicopática tiene de involucrarse en delitos violentos, despertó el interés de los autores en la importancia que tiene que todo investigador sea capaz de detectar los principales rasgos de este tipo de personalidad en los individuos con los que interactúan, con el fin de adecuar su interacción a ellos y sacar el máximo beneficio al interrogatorio y, en consecuencia, a la investigación criminal.

Abstract

Despite its controversy in the clinical context, the concept of psychopathy has been of great interest in the field of criminal and forensic psychopathology, having proven, according to the accumulated scientific evidence, to be a primary predictor of offending behaviour of the social and legal norms.

The high rate of recidivism and the psychopathic personality’s possibility of becoming involved in violent crimes aroused the interest of the authors in the importance of every researcher being able to detect the main features of this type of personality in people with whom they interact in order to adapt their interaction to them and obtain the greatest benefit from the interrogation and therefore, from the criminal investigation.
